I was coming back from a shoot of Milford Sound when I saw this Silvereye on the road. It had obviously been hit by a car and was stunned. I took it into my car and put it in my scarf to recover. I took a few photos of it when it was recovering and gave it some pringles and polos (denying both). The black background came from the black of my scarf. After this macro shot I put it back on a branch. Eventually after some persuading it flew off for good.
